Baton Rouge Rapper Young Ready Shot And Killed

R.I.P. Young Ready. On Tuesday, June 23, reports surfaced that rapper Young Ready was shot and killed in Bogulasa, Louisiana, a small town about 100 miles east of his native Baton Rouge. Young Ready was one of two victims in the shooting, which occurred around 3:30pm. He was 31 years old. Young Ready, real name Shannen Hudsen, was also known by many as Racked Up Ready. Though he received little exposure outside of Louisiana, Ready's lengthy career had ushered him to local stardom in Baton Rouge. He was the founder and owner of the record label Bow Entertainment. Ready's death comes about two years after the murder of Lil Snupe, from Jonesboro, Louisiana. Hometown heroes Boosie Badazz and Kevin Gates, now recognized nationwide, have painted Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas as some of the most violent places in the country.
