Nicki Minaj's Brother Says He Never Touched 12-Year-Old Victim Despite DNA Evidence

Jelani Maraj maintains his innocence, and his legal team wishes to expose the sexual history of the 12-year-old girl he's accused of raping. Last year, it was reported that his DNA matched with semen found on the girl's pants. The legal team of Jelani Maraj, the 37-year-old brother of Nicki Minaj who's currently facing charges for allegedly raping and sodomizing a 12-year-old girl on multiple occasions, has filed a motion to ask the judge to give them access to evidence that might shed light upon the minor complainant's sexual history. “Our firm has a good faith basis to believe that the complainant in this case has had intimate physical contact with a man who is not the defendant in this case and who is older than 17 years of age and who may have caused there to be physical evidence of repeated vaginal and anal penetration of the complainant,” Maraj’s lawyers, Benjamin Brafman and Andrea Zellan wrote, according to documents obtained by Bossip. In addition to seeming evidence of vaginal and anal penetration, the court revealed there to be a match between Maraj's DNA and semen found on the victim's pants during a hearing in July. After revealing the evidence, the court put forth a plea deal, offering Maraj a sentence of 15 years to life in prison, which he declined. –– ADVERTISEMENT –– Maraj faces charges of first-degree rape and first-degree course of sexual encounter against a child. His lawyers have also asked the judge to toss out the top charge (first-degree rape), which carries with it a possible life sentence. They feel there is unconstitutional overlap between the two charges, reports Bossip. Additionally, the lawyers have filed a motion to suppress evidence used against Maraj that was allegedly obtained with a "bad" warrant, enacted by reasonable cause instead of probable cause. Nicki reportedly posted $100,000 in bail, putting up two of her properties, for her brother when he was arrested on a first-degree rape charge in December 2015. The accuser told police that Maraj had repeatedly raped and sodomized her in the period between April 1 and November 30, 2015. The most recent alleged assault took place one day before Maraj's arrest, according to the victim. Maraj plead not guilty to the charges against him when he was indicted in April 2016. “We believe the truth will come out," David Schwartz, Maraj’s lawyer, told Bossip yesterdaqy. “The complaining witness in the case and others have a real motive in this case to lie, this never occurred and Jelani is completely innocent.” The case is headed to trial later this month. Remy Ma references the case on "shETHER," her new Nicki Minaj diss track, with the following lines: And I got a few words for the moms of the young Barbz Guess who supports a child molester? Nicki Minaj You paid for your brother’s wedding? That’s hella foul How you spendin' money to support a pedophile? He a walkin' dead man, sendin' threats to him I guess that’s why they call you Barbie, you was next to Ken Talkin’ about your money long and your foreign sick Why you ain’t help your bro hide his cum from forensics? You probably somewhere overseas, foreign sick Thought you could fuck with me, by far Rem sick Meek, Drake, Safaree, I see men in your pants We call that Jelani, get it? Semen in your pants

Nicki Minaj Clowns Remy Ma's Sales In Response To "ShETHER" Diss

Minaj cites Beyoncé and sales figures to claim superiority over Remy. Remy Ma came at Nicki Minaj on a ruthlessly personal diss track today, and it did not go unnoticed by its target. While it seems inevitable that Nicki will share a response on record to Ma's "ShETHER" eventually, her immediate impulse was to have a laugh at the first week sales of Remy's Plata O Plomo album with Fat Joe.

Twitter Flips Out Over Remy Ma's Nicki Minaj Diss Track "ShETHER"

Fans were as quick with the memes as Remy was with the response. Some say social media has ruined beef, but anyone who's cycled through Twitter after a diss track drops will tell you that is a lie. When Remy Ma decided to drop an unrelentingly personal 7-minute diss aimed at Nicki Minaj today, social media was ready with gifs, jokes, and takes. Naturally, people took sides, but there was shared sense of shock at the unfiltered bars and stinging punchlines Remy brought out.

Photos: Meek Mill & Nicki Minaj For GQ Magazine

Meek Mill shares photographs from his photoshoot with Nicki Minaj for GQ magazine. Yesterday a black and white teaser video surfaced for GQ's photoshoot with Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj, their first magazine spread as a couple. Today Meek Mill has started to share photographs from the shoot on his Instagram, all of which were shot by famed photographer Ellen Von Unwerth. Unwerth captures Omeeka during a night out on the town-- which includes riding in a limo and finger lickin' while counting fresh stacks of cash. Take a look at the series of photographs above. The full spread will be in GQ's October issue. On a related note, as I was scrolling Instagram for these photos, I noticed a large amount of diamond emojis in the comment section-- users are spamming Meek with the symbol of Drake and Future's What A Time to Be Alive. Fun.

Nicki Minaj's Wax "Anaconda" Sculpture Gets Extra Security After Fans Take Inappropriate Photos

So many people have taken lewd photos with Nicki Minaj's new wax sculpture that Madame Tussaud's has had to add extra security. When Nicki Minaj got her very own wax sculpture at the iconic Madame Tussaud's wax museum, she seemed pretty happy about it, Instagramming several pictures of the "Anaconda" video-derived figurine. Azealia Banks, on the other hand, fumed about it. Taking issue with the fact that Minaj was portrayed "bent over on all fours" and not "standing up with a mic in her hand," Banks also predicted that people would pose inappropriately with the sculpture:

Nicki Minaj & Meek Mill Perform, Kiss For The Crowd At Pinkprint Tour Kickoff

Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill kickstarted the Pinkprint North American tour in Texas last night. Nicki Minaj already took her Pinkprint tour through the UK, but it's looking like the North American leg will be a much more rap-oriented affair. Nicki's setlist for the European dates was abnormally heavy on pop and EDM records, but after last night's performance in Texas, it seems like the U.S. dates will have a much more balanced run of songs. Meek also popped in for the final third of the set, as the two performed their two collaborations from Dreams Worth More Than Money, as well as two from Nicki's album ("Buy A Heart" and "Big Daddy"). While the performances satisfied fans, most people were talking about the kiss (and lick) the two shared while on stage. Despite Joe Budden's protest, people are still very excited by Omeeka, it seems. Check out some clips of the performance below. Look out for the tour (which also features Rae Sremmurd, Tinashe, and Dej Loaf) to stop in a city near you

Meek Mill Disses Joe Budden Over Comments About His Relationship With Nicki Minaj

Meek Mill took to twitter to respond to Joe Budden's comments about his relationship with Nicki. Coming as no real surprise, Meek Mill took to twitter early Saturday morning and responded to the comments made by Joe Budden this week during his podcast. If you missed it, Joe had some very choice words for Meek’s relationship with girlfriend Nicki Minaj. He said he felt that the MMG rapper’s music is too hard for him to be displaying such open feelings for Nicki. "Meek's music is too hard for me to look at him with this fucking sappy fuck-shit. Be the hardcore guy that I'm sure she was attracted to at some point. It's nasty. I hate everything about it." – Joe Budden in his Podcast Of course with twitter in an uproar about Budden’s remarks, news quickly made its way to Meek, who wasn’t shy with his daggering response and diss either. Calling Budden a “noodle”, Meek went on to talk about a time he brought Joe out on stage at a show in NYC and he turned it into a “funeral”. He also went after Joe's pocket book too, suggesting he should stick to "Love & Hip Hop" since his rap money is slowing up. Joe proceeded to respond to Meek’s disses, warning Meek that he won’t want to take this dispute to the mic. Later, Nicki also briefly chimed in as well, saying “why would you be bothered by another man showing love to his girl? Let’s celebrate black love. All the best w/ ur podcast. All jokes aside”. Check out the barrage of tweets in the gallery above and let us know what you think of all this? Are there possible diss records on the way or will this be water under the bridge shortly? We'll keep you posted on this developing .

Nicki Minaj Brought Out Meek Mill At Her X Games Performance

Not so long ago it appeared that Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill's fledgling romance was dunzoed. Alas, Nicki brought out Meek to guest star in her performance at the X Games in Austin, TX, putting rumors of their split to rest once and for all. Clad in a skin tight leather pants and flossy checkerboard top, looking like the Daytona 500 basically, Nicki started off the show with such hits as “Feeling Myself,” “Only,” “Truffle Butter” and “Moment 4 Life” before bringing out her boo to rap "I'mma Boss." Nicki also took the performance as opportunity to post a first-rate cuddling with Meek/glamour ass shot on her Instagram. She has one month before she embarks on the North American section of her 20-city "The Pinkprint" tour with Meek, DeJ Loaf, Rae Sremmurd and Tinashe.
