Tory Lanez & Jacquees Have Squashed Their Beef

Tory Lanez and Jacquees met up at South By Southwest. South By Southwest can really do everything. In addition to providing dope performances for fans, it can also be a means for reconciliation. Back in late February, Tory Lanez and Jacquees fell into a brief Twitter beef that was started when Tory Lanez responded flippantly to a post from the new Cash Money signee. Lanez wasn’t having it when Jacquees declared that he was coming for every R&B artist not named Chris Brown, and Jacquees ended up calling the Toronto singer a “watermelon head ass,” among other things. Fast forward to SXSW, where the two linked up and appear to have squashed any ill will that may have stemmed from their spate on Twitter. Jacquees posted a photo of the two together at SXSW, and although he called Tory Lanez a watermelon head again, it appears to have been in good fun this time. The two are on to bigger things, as they should be, and hopefully we’ll hear a collaboration between the two talented artists soon.

LeBron James Thanks Kendrick Lamar For His Musical Inspiration

Kendrick Lamar thanks Kendrick Lamar and TDE for the release of "untitled unmastered." We all have LeBron James to thank for the recent surprise album from Kendrick Lamar, untitled unmastered., which became available across online retailers last Friday (Mar. 4). About two weeks ago, LeBron tweeted at TDE CEO Anthony Tiffith, begging him to release "those untitled tracks," referring to the unreleased songs Kendrick had been performing throughout a series of sensational TV appearances, such as on Late Night with Stephen Colbert, and, more recently, on the Grammys. Tiffith responded to LeBron's request by writing, "Give me a few days 2 think," and sure enough, an 8-track album made up exclusively of untitled tracks popped up online late last Thursday night. TDE producer Sounwave, who contributes to much of untitled unmastered., recently confirmed LeBron was, indeed, the impetus for Tiffith to go ahead and put out the album. "When you get somebody like LeBron asking for them [the 'untitled' tracks], it's like, 'Alright, maybe it is bigger than we think it is,'" the producer told Complex. "That's when Top got on the phone asking me and K. Dot to pick our favorite records. It just so happened that the songs we picked sounded like an album." Shortly upon the release of untitled unmastered., LeBron posted an Instagram video of himself jamming out to one of the album's tracks, "untitled 07." In another video, shared yesterday by Uninterrupted, LeBron discusses how the album has motivated him to be in peak focus approaching this year's playoffs.

Fabolous & Jadakiss Announce "Freddy Vs. Jason"

Do Fab and Jada have a joint mixtape in the works? Jadakiss and Fabolous are two of the more reliable New York vets, and they tend to deliver any time they get on a track together. Therefore, the suggestion that the two could have more new music in the works is cause for celebration, and from our perspective, it seems like it could be a joint project. "Freddy Vs. Jason coming soon," wrote Fab on Instagram, captioning a photo of himself and Jada. While the title could signify anything from a song to an album, we have a feeling it'll be a mixtape -- at least that's what we're hoping at this point. No word on when we'll be receiving this new music, but on title alone, it sounds like it could be something special.

50 Cent Called Back To Bankruptcy Court Because Of Instagram Posts

Upset with the level of illegal downloads, Kanye West's camp considers legal action. Kanye West’s buzzing new album The Life of Pablo is only available on the streaming service Tidal, which has driven many people to illegally download the album rather than sign up for the subscription-only streaming service. As a result, the album has gone Gold in illegal downloads solely from popular torrent site the Pirate Bay. It netted more than 500,000 downloads in less than a week, which is potentially an internet record. Despite previously being flippant towards people to illegally listen to his music, Kanye West is reportedly not pleased with the current situation. He’s considering a lawsuit against the Pirate Bay, and that’s understandable given how much money in streams and album sales 500,000 downloads would equate to. TorrentFreak reached out to the Pirate Bay for comment. Their response was not exactly fearful. “Kanye West is a blithering twat who has an incredible sense of self importance,” Pirate Bay staff member Spud17 wrote, before adding, “Our legal team will be waiting.” The Pirate Bay are no strangers to legal action, as their site been kicked out of numerous countries for it’s illegal activity. Next to governments, a Yeezy lawsuit isn’t much to sniff at. While it sucks that Kanye has lost out on so much money, he’s partially to blame for the situation after altering his album distribution plans right as the album released. He refused to add the album to any Apple music services, leaving few ways for people to obtain the record.

Kanye West Says Bill Cosby Is Innocent

Kanye West has defended Bill Cosby on Twitter. Bill Cosby is in the middle of a very serious sexual assault investigation which has seen over 60 women come forward with stories of his abuse. While most public figures who have spoken out on the issue have shown support for the alleged victims, a few have assumed Cosby's innocence. Kanye West is now one of those people

Lil Wayne Reportedly Hit With $900,000 Tax Lien

Lil Wayne has some more unpaid taxes to take care of. Back in 2014, it was reported that Lil Wayne owed over $12 million in back-taxes, and sources are now claiming that the rapper owes another $900,000 to the IRS. According to theJasmineBrand, Weezy is being tapped for exactly $868,079.89, the lien being delivered on February 1st in Florida. It's said that this particular amount is from his 2014 assessment, though it's not clear if the rapper has paid off the previous $12 million debt he previously held. We know that he owns at least $30 million worth of art, so it shouldn't be too tough for the rapper to pay off that amount, and if he doesn't cough up the cash, the IRS could always seize some of his paintings. Meanwhile, we're still waiting on news of Carter V, seeing as Wayne and Birdman have allegedly made up and all. Think it's finally coming this year?

ASAP Rocky Talks Respect For Tyler, The Creator & Recording "Electric Body" With ScHoolboy Q

ASAP Rocky shares some thought on his upcoming tour with Tyler, The Creator, and his stoned studio sessions with ScHoolboy Q. ASAP Rocky recently announced a co-headlining tour with Tyler, The Creator, but so far, we hadn't really heard his thoughts on hitting the road with the Odd Future wildman. In a new interview with Revolt, Rocky spoke of the general respect he has for Tyler as a renaissance man. "I fuck with Tyler's whole movement," he said. "His aesthetic, what he does -- directs his own videos, produces his own beats, designs his clothes, ran his crew for a while, ran companies and stuff like that. Just being a fellow artist I respect that. Later on, Pretty Flacko shared his favorite recording session from his recent album, ALLA. His answer was quick, and seemed to be based more on the antics that ensued during the process than the actual music being laid down. "Probably 'Electric Body,' with Schoolboy," Rocky said with a stoned giggle. "Schoolboy a fool man. That motherfucker was in there smoking big-ass paper blunts and shit. Old-ass man and shit. Granddaddy Q. Shout out to my boy."

Drake Says He Hasn't "Taken A Loss" All Week

Drake made sure to throw some shade Meek's way during his annual OVO kickball game. The general internet consensus around the Drake and Meek Mill beef is that Drizzy is in the lead, and it seems the Toronto rapper has made going online part of his day, as he's aware of the scoreboard. “I haven’t taken a loss all week,” Drake told a Bleacher report cameraman at his annual OVO kickball event, slyly bringing Meek into a question about the game. He's also already rocking a "charged up" shirt (complete with a full iPhone battery on the back), so he seems to be pretty pleased with himself overall. Something tells us we'll be getting some more comments along these lines at OVO Fest this weekend.
