Ariana Grande Performs New Music, Interns At Tidal & Impersonates Rihanna On SNL

Ariana Grande was the musical guest and host of this week's Saturday Night Live. In the tradition of Ray Charles, Mick Jagger, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Justin Timberlake, MC Hammer (?) and Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande took on double duties on last night's episode of Saturday Night Live, serving as both the host and musical guest. With plenty of experience in both singing and acting, she made it work, particularly when she combined her talents in a skit that found her playing an intern at Tidal and doing various musical impressions (some we've heard before on Fallon), which included Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, and Rihanna, most of which were pretty spot on, though there was a lazy jab at the incomprehensibility of Rih's patois on "Work". From there, she performed two songs from her upcoming third album, Dangerous Woman, which included the title track and a brand new record called "Be Alright".

T-Pain, DeJ Loaf, Metro Boomin & Missy Elliott Have Been In The Studio Together

Whatever they're working on, it's going to be big. T-Pain's Stoicville: The Phoenix album has been long in the making, but from the looks of it, the project will be worth the wait. Pain did some flexing on Twitter and Instagram yesterday, revealing that he'd just wrapped a studio session with the powerful team of Metro Boomin, DeJ Loaf, and Missy Elliott. It's not clear where this super-collab will end up, but seeing as it was Pain who delivered the news, were hoping it'll be on his project, and that we'll be hearing it sooner than later. Then again, we could also see it landing on Missy's impending project. From the headwear selection alone, T-Pain's pic with Metro and Missy seems to indicate something special was brewing at that session.

The pop-up shop includes exclusive Pen & Pixel-style tour T-shirts as well as an exclusive A$AP Yams tribute shirt. This news is manly for the L.A. folks, as that's the site of Future's temporary "Purple Reign" pop-up shop, which is open now through March 20. The shop houses the latest fashion merchandise from Future's Freebandz label as well as Future-inspired clothing items from well-known streetwear brands like Cease & Desist, DOPE, and RSVP. Future and his team also hired a designer named Darien Bruze to create a series of limited edition vintage-style T-shirts that already look like treasured collectors' items. Each shirt will be released in quantities of 50, and there is one shirt in particular, a tribute to A$AP Yams that shows a montage of Future, the Mob founder, and a few white doves, that won't be available until the store's final business day (Sunday, March 20).

Kanye West is disregarding the conventional schedule of fashion and album releases. Kanye West has been tweeting just about every day over the last few weeks, and pretty much every time he manages to surprise us. Saturday morning, Ye decided to share some news about future releases, both in fashion and music, and let's just say we have plenty to look forward to. According to Ye, he's got another 2 albums coming this year, and 5 more fashion collections.

Metro Boomin Explains The Origin Of His "If Young Metro Don't Trust You" Tag

Kanye West couldn't get enough of it. If you're a rap fan, there's no way you're not familiar with Metro Boomin's latest producer tag, "If Young Metro don't trust you they gon' shoot you," which has appeared both on Future and Drake's "Jumpman," and -- even more prominently -- on Kanye West's "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1". If you're a big enough Future fan, you'll know that the phrase was first uttered on Uncle Murda's "Right Now," which featured Future, but according to Metro, who discussed it with DJ Drama recently, the vocal he isolated didn't actually appear on the track. "I’ve been using that as a tag in beats since about August," he said. "Jumpman," before the song was recorded, that beat already said that. We had did this one with Uncle Murda one time, and one of the lines that Future said in there was 'If “young Metro don’t trust you, I’m gonna shoot you.' When he said that it had a different tone, but I remember when we were in the studio he had another tone, which is the one that’s the tag that was just like muted. I just made sure to go back on the session and just get it and just go HAM with it.” As far as how the tag ended up on Kanye's album, Metro said that Ye couldn't get enough of it in the studio. "I had a sense that he liked it," he said, "because we were in the studio before, and you know the Kanye dance he does when he's doing his thing? he was just going crazy doing that and saying "Young Metro don't trust you..."

Under Armour plans to lace Stephen Curry with a mid-season update. Under Armour is taking a page out of Nike's book this season and giving their premiere signature sneaker a mid-season update. Nike did this for LeBron three times in a single season once, and each innovation was doper than the last. The Under Armour Curry 2.5 aims to imitate that success. The new version of Stephen Curry’s signature sneaker ditches the panel, perforated design of the Curry 2 in favor of an almost one piece upper. The outer side of the upper is a vertically lined leather, with the inner part is a nylon-like sock that’s connected to the rest of the upper. This is a shoe that puts performance first (we hope), because it definitely isn’t going for style points. The vertical patterning makes the shoe look extremely resilient, but we’ll have to get our hands on it to see if it’s just an optical illusion. Be on the lookout for these to appear on the mercurial Golden State Warriors guard sometime soon. Azealia Banks is no longer on Twitter, and according to her, she's not coming back. Azealia Banks has become known for hew social media presence as much as her music, but today, the rapper's very active Twitter account disappeared, but no before she said her farewell. "Ok, today, i'm finally making the decision to eject from social media," she wrote. "american media culture is honestly so fucking disgusting and junky and complaining about it is not going to change it. reading shit, seeing stupid ass articles and dumb bitches/bros has just really filled me up with a lot of bad feelings." Banks then expressed that giving up Twitter might be the healthiest decision for her. "it's been a great couple of years, sharing opinions and having conversations, but i think i will be so much happier just NOT looking at this. (Americans have the WORST taste in everything.) So my friends, its time to say goodbye once and for all to this account. This account will exist no more. Time for a bit of Mystery... Goodbye." As of this posting, Azealia's account is still inactive. Is this really the last we'll see of her on Twitter?
